My thanks to the Committee for making me feel very welcome and inviting me to judge. It was my first appointment and I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Also, may I thank my two stewards who were extremely efficient, leaving me free to concentrate on the job in hand. Many thanks also to the exhibitors who supported me by bringing along their dogs.
Special Yearling
1 & RBOB Poppletons LURGAVON PLAYBOY. 23 months. This dog really caught my eye as he entered the ring. A handsome boy with such a lovely head, good eyeshape and colour, good amount of chiselling throughout and nicely raised brows. Lovely soft expression. Good straight front with good angulation to his front assembly. Well balanced throughout and good movement. Presented in excellent coat and condition.
2 & BPIB Butler-Holleys TIFOSI MASTERPIECE. 13 months. Another most handsome boy. Again most pleasing of heads with correct eye shape and colour. Good chiselling throughout and lovely raised brows. Kind expression. Deep chested, straight front and good spring of rib. Just lost out to 1 on maturity. A very well behaved young man - a credit to his handler. One to watch.
Post Graduate
Garners RIQUITTA AUTHENTIC 14 months, unplaced in previous class. Presented well with good coat. Good bone, pleasing enough head with nice expression and good eye shape. Correct in ear set and carriage. A little unsettled on the move.
Open
1 & BOB Swainstons GLENVARNA HIMSELF JW. 3 year old male. This dog had it all. A lovely head, good in eye shape and colour, good amount of chiselling throughout, good ear set and carriage, and a soft melting expression. Good finish to his foreface. Correct straight front and strong well angulated hindquarters. Correct topline into good croup. Lovely balanced dog. His coat was immanculate. Moved well and held his topline on the move. It was a pleasure to go over him. Most worthy winner of BOB today.
