Critique - Judge: Bitches - Mrs Lynn Muir (Romarne)

It was a pleasure to judge this show. Thank you for your excellent entry. We seem to have quite a variation in type and quality at the moment. I was very pleased with my winners, many of which I found quite outstanding.

Minor Puppy Bitch (12,3)

1.Rowles' Zendarric Arizona Sunset
Just 6months old, quite forward, very pretty head with lovely expression. Good front, well ribbed, very good topline and croup. Stood on good quarters, moved really well

2.Carter's Gwendariff Specially Maidn
Another very pretty m.p. Lovely head very good eye shape and expression, flowing topline, good body, excellent coat and colour. Moved well.

3.Hillocks' Jonola Babycham

Puppy Bitch (16,3)

1. Heron's Caskeys Delpine

A real feminine puppy, such a beautiful head and true expression, good eye, well-balanced, strong topline with good croup and tail set. Well-angulated front and rear, steady sound movement Best Puppy Bitch.

Junior Bitch (20,3)

1. Humpheys' Henaleas Carry On Flirting
A Picture standing, so elegant, prettiest of heads, good finish to foreface. Body well ribbed with good depth, stands on very good quarters. In lovely coat and condition. Moved very well.

2. Gardner, Milligan-Bott & Bott's Thendara Jocasta
Very nice bitch, not quite the head of the winner. Excellent body, very good rib and depth, sound mover.

3. Naylor & Morrisons's Aniory Carinena

Yearling Bitch (11,3)

1.Catling's Shandwick Star Shine at Telerin
An absolute picture standing, so feminine with a lovely head and expression. Good neck, straight front, well ribbed with nice depth, firm topline, good croup and hindquarters. Moved very well.

Maiden Bitch (17,3)

1. Smith's Reddins Verona
Would like a little more head and expression, but a very sound bitch with such a good body. Well ribbed with good depth, good angulation, very good movement.

2. Watt's Shenanagan Softly Softly Very similar to the winner, sound and well made all through, good coat, moved well. Again I would prefer a little more in head.

Undergraduate Bitch (10,6)

1. Lohkamp& Lohkamp-Jommer's Copper's Bubble Of Joy
What an outstanding bitch, everything I would want in an Irish, oozes such quality, the most beautiful head, so balanced with raised brows and lovely eye with a hint of mischief. Strong well-arched neck, excellent shoulder placement, firm topline, excellent croup and tail set, well ribbed with great depth. Good sternum, true straight front, very well angulated hindquarters, Short hock to heel. A joy to watch on the move, just flowed around the ring. Excellent quality coat and condition. In the Challenge I couldn't keep my eyes off her, an absolute pleasure to award her her first CC one of many I hope. Best in Show on a referee's decision. Good luck with her, I just wish she were mine.

2. Morgan's Deaconara Blue Sonata
Very sound bitch, pretty head, well put together in body, good angulation. Moved well. In very good coat.

3. Birch's Moyna Amira

Graduate Bitch (10,2)

1. Weller's Sutersett Wispa at Juldeane JW In beautiful coat and condition very elegant, lovely head an expression. Good in front, well ribbed with nice depth, good quarters, moved very well.

2. Chorley-Newton & Chorley's Kerryfair All In Red A lovely headed bitch, excellent expression, and well-bodied, good spring of rib, deep in chest. Very sound moved well.

3. Lucas' Reddins Frolic among Amberlight

Post Graduate Bitch (21,4)

1. Osman's Copper's Prima Bubblerina
I have always loved this bitch, a picture stood, beautiful head and expression, so feminine, lovely eye, very good skull, strong neck, firm topline excellent croup and tail set. Well-angulated front and rear. Sound free flowing movement.

2. Mortimer & Condron's Covarney Coco JW Another lovely bitch, Excellent head and expression, Very good in profile, firm topline, well angulated. In very good coat, moved really well.

3. Driver's Caskeys Star Gazer At Stearnwood

Mid-Limit Bitch (16,3)

1. Bott's Barodonhill Days Are Diamond JW
A real favourite of mine, beautiful head with excellent expression, very well balanced, excellent front, so sound in body, well sprung rib, good depth of chest. Excellent top line and tail set, very good hindquarters. So sound on the move RCC.

2. Naylor & Morrison's Bardonhill Singing Skies over Anlory JW
Full sister to the winner and very similar remarks apply. Elegant in profile, well made body, lovely neck into shoulder. Firm topline, such a sound mover, just not quite the expression of the winner.

3. Hunter & Brown's Braidmount Midnight Lady JW

Limit Bitch (15,4)

1. Backman's Coppers Magical Bubble
This kennel really has got a wonderful true Irish type. Again a superb bitch that has everything I look for beautiful classic head and expression. Excellent body, well sprung rib with good brisket, very good angulation front and rear, sound strong movement. In lovely coat and condition.

2. Berry & Morris' Brinara Winter Cherry Sound
unexaggerated bitch, in full coat. Good head with a nice expression, very well balanced, well bodied with good topline and croup. Moved very well.

1. Naylor & Morrison's Sh Ch Anlory Carmenere JW

Such an elegant bitch, excellent profile when stood. Lovely body, flowing topline, very pretty head and expression, well angulated all through, such a sound mover. Not in her best coat today.

2. Hinslea's ShCh Northamber Causin A Riot JW

Splitting hairs today, so similar to the first. Excellent body, good rib, firm top line, well angulated, again another really sound mover, not quite the expression of the winner.

3. Powis' ShCh Amberwave Freckles JW

Veteran Bitch (8,2)

1. Mugford's ShCh Lynwood Sealed With A Kiss JW
A bitch I gave a CC to a few years ago and now at 9years of age has not lost any of her qualities. Beautiful head and expression, so sound, lovely body, still has an excellent top line and croup. In the most wonderful coat and condition. So sound and moves with such drive, Best Veteran in Show.

2. Naylor & Morrison's ShCh Anlory Valpolicella JW
Another wonderful veteran, lovely head and very good expression. Excellent body with lovely topline, so sound all through, moved very well.
