Critique - Judge - Mrs Paula Lucas

This was my first appointment at this level and there were some lovely dogs present, some of which had to cardless.I would also like to thank the officers and committee for a lovely day.

Minor Puppy Dog 5( 0abs)

1^st Cuddy Mr &Mrs J  Aoibheanne Quite the rebel by Balbriggan, Elegant looking young man on strong bone. Lovely head and eye colour, strong neck onto well laid back shoulders, clean topline with correct tailset, good front angulation, neat feet. Moved well for a baby.

2^nd Ciechonska Miss E  Aoibheanne’s Quite by Chance, Litter brother to 1 and similar remarks, also has a lovely head and eye colour, lovely rich dark coat, jut not so positive on the move.

3^rd Mugford Mr RC &Mrs J Lynwood Lark in the dark.

1^st Cohen Mr & Mrs H A M  Caispern Lorenzo with Shushana, loved the head on this boy with his naughty but nice expression, good long neck with correct shoulder angulation, gave his handler a hard time but once settled moved with drive holding topline. BPD

2^ND Ciechonska Miss E Aoibheaane’s Quite by Chance

3^rd Mugford MR R C & Mrs J Lynwood Lark in the Dark.

1^st Pollard Mrs P & Cook Mrs A  Grayrigge Benedict, Have watched this boy since a puppy and was delighted with what I saw, he has a gorgeous head with correct eye shape and colour. Strong arched neck leading into well laid back shoulders, good spring of rib, well of for bone, strong well muscled quarters enabling him to drive around the ring, shall watch his progress with interest.

2^nd Milligan-Bott  Mrs D & Bott  Mr J Thendara Pot Noodle JW As always from this kennel this boy was beautifully presented in good coat and condition, slightly longer than 1 but presents a beautiful balanced outline, he has a lovely head, strong neck, straight front, good width to thigh moved well holding topline.

3^rd Danks-Kemish Mrs R D  Alolfran Inspired with Time.

1^st Torpy Mrs C E  Follidown Meadow Pipit, How this boy has come on, in strong hard condition, lovely rich coat colour, He possess a well balanced head with kind dark eyes, strong neck onto well laid back shoulders, well sprung rib, clean topline, moved soundly.

2^ND Decoster Mrs Y Vicary’s Justintime, Slightly bigger dog in lovely coat and condition, clean over topline, good angulation fore and aft strong well muscled quarters which he used well to moved soundly round the ring, just preferred head of 1.

3^rd Smith Mr & Mrs J Reddins Keifer.

1^st Bott Mrs M Bardonhill Tom Foolery, Caught my eye straight away, looked a picture standing, in lovely coat, loved his head, long neck leading to well laid back shoulders, firm topline well sprung ribcage, good front, strong hindquarters, moved soundly.

2^nd Corless Mrs S  Bardonhill Swift Eagle, shorter coupled than 1, another one with a lovely head, dark kind eye, lovely rich dark coat, strong topline good angulation fore and aft, moved well.

3^rd Barker-Bell Mrs G Balintyne The Continental JW

Post Grad Dog 14 (2 abs )

1^st Gratton Mr & Mrs A  Bardonhill Floating Moon into Glenlaine  Jw Sh Cm, Lovely headed dog in super coat and condition, would prefer slightly shorter length to loin, but he says look at me, good straight front, well arched neck good rear angulation, moves well holding his topline. One to watch for the future.

2^nd Cuddy Mr & Mrs J Suteresett Royal Ripple with Balbriggan, New one to me, loved his head, correct eye shape and colour, strong neck, straight front neat feet, well muscled rear angulation, lovely rich coat colour, moved with drive.

3^rd Hogarth Mrs P Avacet Snowdrift.

1st Gardner Miss T Riqitta Authentic A real favourite of mine who I have done well in the past, didn’t disappoint today. This boy has a lovely head with a cheeky expression, strong neck into well laid back shoulders, straight front well muscled rearenabling him to drive around the ring, holding his topline, in lovely coat and condition, close up for RCC.

2^nd Ciechonska Miss E Coppers Champagne on Ice at Aoibheanne (imp swe) jw, small dog than 1. Has the most gorgeous of heads, long lean neck, strong topline, straight front strong quarters which he uses well on the move.

3^rd Bott  Mrs M Bardonhill Storm Moon.

Best class of the day and some lovely dogs had to go cardless.

1^st Edden Mrs J& Crocker Mr B A  Sh Ch Meadway Morrisey, love this boy for type, he has the most beautiful of heads with classic quizzical expression, strong neck well laid back shoulders, clean topline, straight front neat feet, strong quarters enabling him to power round the ring, super coat and condition completes the picture CC & BOB.

2^nd Chorley-Newton Mrs SE & Chorley Miss K  Kerryfair Snow Fox jw, very close up to 1, another boy with a super head, in lovely coat and condition, good angulation fore and aft, clean level topline neat feet moved well RCC.

3^rd Mclarnon Mrs C   Sh Ch Ir Sh Ch Northamber Just Cause for Glenavna

1^st Davie Mrs M  Sh Ch Lochfrae Ralph Loren JW Sh Cm, 9 yr old boy who I have done well before, lovely head and eye, long lean neck good shoulder placement, clean topline, in good coat and condition, moved well.

2^nd Edwards Mrs SE  Barleydale Lumiere, smaller than 1, lovely rich coat colour, good head and eye, strong neck into well laid back shoulders, good front, strong quarters moved well, just a little proud of his tail.

3^rd Kenny Mrs M P & Mr D  Burrenmist Hot Toddy

1^st Gladwish Miss B  Glenlaine the Best Man , Nice head and kind eye, strong neck, clean topline, good coat moved well.

2^nd Olbinson Miss L A & Kelly Miss M B Haremachs Sweeney Todd, Smaller framed than 1, nice dark coat, sweet head, not as positive on the move.

1^st Mugford Mr RC & Mrs j Lynwood Happy as a Lark, sweet baby of 7 mnths, pretty head and dark eye, god neck and shoulders, good rear angulation, lovely dark coat, moved steady for a baby.

2^nd Gratton Mr & Mrs A Glenlaine Elise, Taller and larger framed baby, pretty head, clean over topline, straight front, strong quarters, moved ok just preferred femininity of 1.

3^rd Kavanagh Ms M Withersdale Lady of Letters.

2^ND Humphreys Mrs J & Mr P Suteresett Miss Curious about Henaleas, another lovely girl close up to 1, pretty head with dark eyes, long lean neck, clean topline, straight front neat feet, lovely dark coat, moved well.

3^rd Naylor Mr N & Morrison Miss J  Anlory Living Water.

2^nd  Watt Mr J A  Shenanagin Softly Softly, Another classy girl, looks a picture standing, pretty head with correct eye shape and colour, good front with neat feet, well arched neck, well sprung ribs, lovely coat and condition moved well.

1^st Limpus Mr & Mrs B  Shenanagin She’s the one for Karidell JW, How this girl has changed, a most elegenat looking girl in gleaming coat and condition, she has a lovely head with dark eyes, strong neck on correct shoulders, clean topline, strong quarters moved true both coming and going, considered for the RCC.

2^nd Leach Mrs L  Irishpearl of the Trav’lin Star. Classy lady built on a smaller frame, prettiest of heads, long lean neck, a little straight in upper arm, clean over topline, good rear angulation moved well.

3^rd Hall Mrs K A  Shenanagin Stardrift at Glennara JW

1^st Box Miss R Fernstart Lovesong   A pretty headed bitch with a quizzical expression, strong neck, clean over topline correct angulation front and back moved well holding topline, in good coat and condition.

2^nd Elkins Mrs M  Avacet Snowbird, Similar to 1, a little stronger in head than I prefer, but of good shape with correct eye colour, good topline, lovely rich dark coat, moves true, one I have admired before.

 There were multiple celebrations and a fond farewell party at Manchester Championship Show.  Celebrations for Eva Ciechonska, owner of Sh.Ch. Caskeys Concept at Aoibheanne JW, the Top Stud Dog All Breeds in the Dog World Competition, Christine McLarnon owner of the Top winning Irish Setter in 2011 Sh.Ch./Ir/Sh/Ch. Northamber Just Cause at Glenavna JW, bred by Enid and Bruce Hinslea, (Dog World Competition). and Diane Stewart-Ritchie, Top Irish Setter Breeder 2011 and joint owner, with Cathy Neill, of the Top Irish Setter Bitch 2011. Joan Kniveton (2nd left)is shortly leaving the UK  to live in Spain - on behalf of you all we send our warm wishes and wish her, and her husband Paul, every happiness in their new home.
