3rd JOANMA'S TIME TO TREASURE (MRS J A GILBERT)

Entries: 5 Absentees: 0 Quite a difficult class to judge, in terms of type and quality I preferred the 3rd place dog in type but he was so naughty.

Good overall balance and conformation, strong quarters which he used when on the move, presented in full coat.
2nd IRISHMAGIC OF THE TRAV'LIN STAR AVEC AMBERLIGHT (IMP BEL) (MR & MRS P LUCAS) The best of heads in the class, preferred winners front angulation, but still overall a well balanced youngster.

1st GWENDARIFF WHATA CORKER JW (MRS D STEWART- RITCHIE) Won class on overall balance and condition. Good shoulder placement giving fore-chest and depth of chest, which is so sadly lacking in many today. Good spring of rib, strong quarters, moved with drive.
2nd COPPERS CHAMPAGNE ON ICE AT AOIBHEANNE JW (IMP SWE) (MISS E S CIECHONSKA) Today he lacked the condition overall of winner. Good head and true irish expression, strong neck, well angulated shoulders, deep body, good quarters. Moved Well

1st COPPER'S UNDERCOVER AT LYNWOOD (IMP SWE) JW (MR R C & MRS J P MUGFORD) Great overall balance, good head, with raised brow, correct skull shape, strong clean neck, true front, good spring of ribs, deep chest strong wide quarters, felt today he carried a little too much weight, but I like him overall. Please to award him the RCC today.
2nd JACWILINS WILLOGHBY JW (MR W & MRS J WILLIS) This dogs shows what true balance means, free from exaggeration, good head, clean neck and shoulders deep chest, today he looked very well, in good coat and condition, today unfortunate to meet winner on such good form.
3rd BALBRIGGAN ROYAL REBEL JW (MR J & MRS S CUDDY)
Open - Dog
Entries: 6 Absentees: 0 What a great class of top class dogs, each one I have admired many times before.
1st SH CH/IR SH CH NORTHAMBER JUST CAUSE FOR GLENAVNA JW (MRS C MCLARNON) Both 1st and second are dogs that I have never judged, He combines all the qualities that the breed standard requires. Giving the overall general appearance of balance and racy in outline but still combing substance that is required of a Irish setter. From his head and expression, strong, neck set into clean well angulated shoulders. True in front, deep chest and strong topline which he held on the move, he covers the ground with little effort driving from the rear all the time using his tail. I was pleased to award the DCC and BOB with agreement of my co judge today. Pleased to see him later in the gundog group short listed.
2nd IR SH CH GLENNARA COER DE LION JW CW10 (MR B KENNEDY) His is something special, possessing all the qualities that is required of the breed. His head is classic with his raised brows and well balanced head, strong neck and good body, good overall conformation. Moved true both fore and aft using his tail on the move. Will watch him with interest.
3rd GWENDARIFF ROCKIN ROBIN JW (MRS S E EDWARDS)
