Critique - Judge: Flo BarkerIRISH SETTERSSorry to find several level bites, so many gay tails and dogs with heavy heads but pleased with my award winners. P (7) 1 Walsh’s Millcroft Ballad of the Moon, 12 months on the day, a delightful young lady I would have liked to take home. Elegant neck and well set shoulders, good top line and well let down hocks, coat coming in nicely and such a pretty head. Moved steadily with reach at front. BP 2 Elkins’ Avocet Snowbird RBP, promising young bitch. 3 Wigfull & Hartley’s Anlory Goldfinger. J (4) 1 M Ballad of the Moon. 2 Bootland’s Highclare Moulin Rouge, only just 12 months and still to mature. 3 Barnes’ Highclare Catchfly. Sp Y (4) 1 Crosswell’s Gwendariff Mr Noticeme JW, young lad with spring in his step in tip top condition, correct front and shoulders, pleasing head, well presented and maturing well. 2 Waterton’s Lynwood Kissed by an Angel at Sandstream JW, pretty young bitch. 3 Jones’ Hunnicote Heatherman. N (3,1a) 1 M Ballad of the Moon 2 Jones’ Hunnicote Tawbitts Bettina, more substantial bitch. 3 Broomhall’s Serrula Playaway G (1,2a) 1 Rorke’s Gloxinia Maggie May, Alone but worthy winner, elegant bitch, moving soundly and happily. Gentle expression. PG (7, 1a) 1 Naylor & Morrison’s Anlory Bonarda JW Had the refined but masculine head I was looking for, with lean neck flowing cleanly into gently sloping top line. Balanced construction with strong hindquarters and well let down hocks straight to ground. Strode out round the ring to win BOB. 2 Lucas’ Kerryfair Jays Boy with Amberlight, impressive dog, slightly stronger all through. 3 Barnes’ Highclare Catchfly. O (8,3a) 1 Lucas’ Caskeys Persuader from Amberlight, carries his eight and a half years well, dark coat, refined head and expression, moved like a youngster and worthy RBOB. 2 Catling’s Highclare Mary Poppins at Teleri , honest, nicely balanced bitch. 3 Waterton’s Lynwood Strands of Silk at Sandstream JW ShCM.
