Judge: David R AlcornIrish SetterPuppy (4) Difficult class to judge. 1 Naylor & Morrison's Anlory Carmenere. 9m feminine b presented in excellent coat. Sweet head with kind expression. Balanced in construction throughout but a shade longer than I would prefer. Well angled quarters with good width of thigh, stood on the best of feet. Should mature on well. BP. 2 Kavanagh & Bott's Withersdale Amaryllis. A little unbalanced at the moment and taller and narrower than 1. Presented and handled well. 3 Buchan's Loskeran Dream Maker. Junior(6) 1 Ritchie's Gwendariff Fizzy Pop.
Headed a nice class of three typy dogs from this kennel. This b was presented in first class order and handled beautifully. Typical head of correct proportions, dark eyes with a mischevious glint. Reachy neck leading to well laid shoulders, lacking in so many. Useful return of upper arm and already showing depth of brisket and development of forechest. Well ribbed back, strong topline and gentle slope to croup to well set on tail. Well angled quarters giving total balance. Drove from short rear pasterns on a lengthy stride with very positive front action. Delighted to judge her, surely destined for great things. Easy BOB and delighted to see her take group2 in a strong group 2 Ritchie and Stewart's Gwendariff The Special One Very close up to winner but not so positive in rear action on the day. Handled sympathetically to get the best out of her. RBOB 3 Abbott's Gwendariff Mr Dontgopastme Post Graduate (6) 1 Ritchie's Gwendariff Fizzy Pop. 2 Ritchie and Stewart's Gwendariff The Special One 3 Abbott's Gwendariff Mr Dontgopastme Open (3,1) 1 Ritchie's Gwendariff Fizzy Pop 2 Ritchie and Stewart's Gwendariff The Special One David R Alcorn
