Critique - Judge: Ro Cox (Tiroen)Thank you to the committee for my invitation to judge at your very well run show and to my efficient steward, I had a very enjoyable day.
English SettersJunior – (2) 1. Weller’s Upperwood Tri To Remember at Juldeane, pretty, elegant feminine bitch, low set ears, lovely outline and clean from neck into shoulders, well ribbed and correct topline, good angulation ,moved out well just a little close in front at the moment, however will watch her progress with interest, BPIB and delighted to see her go Puppy Group 3.; 2. Grimsdell’s Tattersett Hebe Graduate – (4) 1. Cooperfurze’s Settrenda Golden Promise, orange Belton , good clean outline, well angulated, balanced back and front, level topline, good pigmentation with dark eye, best mover in the class, moving well will drive; 2. Brown’s Tattersett Double Barrel; 3. Wood’s Swannery Magical Moment Open – (1) Maddison’s Gaiasett Bewitched, mature bitch, well bodied with good bone, pretty head with low set ears and dark eyes, good balanced angulation back and front with level topline held on the move, really strode out with purpose in the challenge to win BOB
Large MunsterlandersJunior – (1) 1. Nickelson’s Blitzan Eternal Light, 6 month old, raw, promising baby, pretty feminine head, high set ears, neat, tight feet, short coupled and even angulation, enthusiastic and gave the handler a hard time on the move. BPIB
Graduate – (2) 1. Waters’ Tarkanya Lytas Llewellyn, strong head with high set ears, strong muscular body, a little short in body, tucked up, well muscled, moved well; 2. Nickelson’s Blitzan Eternal Light
Open – (3) 1. Dowen & Raggett’s Sh Ch Jagerreh Coranto of Chontelle Sh. C.M., close decision between 1 & 2, winner had lovely head with dark eye, good balanced angulation back and front, low from hock to heel, well bodied and moved out well with purpose BOB; 2. Smith’s Sh Ch Yeldoaks Seventh Heaven; 3. Waters’s Sh Ch Crackash Regal Pirate
Irish SettersGraduate – (3) 1. Warner’s Tamwood Thankyou, young bitch, nicely put together, pretty head, low set ears, dark eye, balanced angulation front and back, short in croup, moved ok; 2. Neville’s Settaside She’s A Fox; 3. Jones’s Jogipoto My Fair Lady
Open – (2) 1. Warner’s Strathmead Snowbunting very pretty bitch, mother of winner of previous class, low set ears and king Irish expression, smooth and balanced throughout, gently sloping topline which she held on the move, looked stylish standing and on themove, BOB unfortunately couldn’t stay for the Group; 2. Jones’s Jogipoto My Fair Lady
Flatcoat Retrievers Puppy – (3) 1. Bellamy’s Bochilbarley Xanthes Murohys Boy, I really liked this young boy, he gave his young handler a hard time however he moved out well with free true movement, well balanced back and front, handsome head, should have a bright future, BPIB; 2. Bellamy’s Bochilbarley Xanthes Star; 3. Bellamy’s Bochilbarley Xanthes Angel
Junior – (3) 1. Bellamy’s Bochilbarley Xanthes Murohys Boy BPIB; 2. Bellamy’s Bochilbarley Xanthes Star; 3. Bellamy’s Bochilbarley Xanthes Angel
Graduate – (4) 1. Monnks’s Bochilbarley November Tide J.W. won the class on his movement, good balance to head, well ribbed and good angulation back and front, well muscled and used tail enthusiastically BOB.; 2. Perrin’s Lovebry Harvest Time; 3. Durrant & Bentley’s Idawood Isla
Open – (1) 1. Kemp’s Bracsan Arthur, stood alone, masculine and balanced head, a lot to like about him, a little heavy throughout, a little unsettled, due to a wasp sting so didn’t move as well as he might.
WeimaranersJunior – (4) 1. Robinson’s Hollieseast Sahnenkirsche This young bitch stood out for me in this class, feminine head, lovely elegant lines throughout with good balanced angulation. Moved out well with purpose, handled to her best BPIB and delighted to see her go Puppy Group 1 and RPIS; 2. Martin’s Deifstock Dilemma; 3. Porter & Porter Manning’s Greywise Ditzy Diva
Graduate – (4) 1. Porter & Porter Manning’s Wallaroo Sheer Silk, very nice class, winner was a well balanced bitch, not quite the head for me but her overall outline and free flowing movement won the class on the day; 2. Cooper’s Megan’s Mystrow at Deifstock; 3. Robinson’s Hollieseast Sahnenkirsche
Open – (4) 1. Wand & Packer’s Aswann Hatusu with Paxamber, one of those classes that gives the judge a headache as there was a lot to like about all the entrants; winner was mature bitch, lovely balance and moderate throughout, pretty head, good angulation front and back and well muscled, moved out well around the ring with effortless stride, BOB; Porter & Porter Manning’s Wallaroo Scootch, young boy that needs maturity to finish the picture but one for the future 3.
