Judge - Sue Randle (Rionore)
Irish Setters
Firstly a big thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at their well-run show. The atmosphere was friendly and hospitality first rate. A thank you to my well organised steward and especially thank you to the exhibitors for the lovely entry of dogs I was presented with and who I hope enjoyed the day as much as I did. It was lovely to go over dogs in such nice muscular condition.

Deneil Breakfast in Bed
1st Walter's Deneil Breakfast in Bed
What a lovely boy of 10 months. Lovely masculine head not overdone in any way with melting Irish expression and nice square finish to muzzle. Good straight front. Nicely arching neck, with good angled forefront and forechest. Gently flowing topline leading to good tailset (where he scored over the 2nd placed puppy). Lovely bend of stifle and good tight feet. Moved very soundly both away and returning, keeping his topline on the move. Best Puppy and RBOB. Delighted to hear he took Puppy Group 2.

Kirkavagh Istabraq with Bartholeys
1st Bartholomew's Kirkavagh Istabraq with Bartholeys
15 month old dog with a balanced head and gentle expression, good reach of neck flowing into nicely angulated shoulders. Good depth of chest and spring of rib. Flowing topline. Good rear angulation and nice tailset. Moved with drive and enthusiasm. Overall he presented a balanced, elegant picture which just gave him the edge over difficult decision with the 2nd placed dog. Let himself down in the challenge by not standing still for his handler.

Feminine girl who although standing alone well deserved her place. Very sweet head with wistful expression. Nice straight front and good forechest. Lovely depth of chest. Nice angulation front and rear which she used to move soundly round the ring. Considering only 8 months off having puppies she was presented in lovely condition with enough coat to finish the picture and earn her BOB. I hear she also took Gundog Group 3. Well done!
