Judge: Laura Stuart-CookIrish SetterThank you for the lovely entry. I was delighted to hear my BOB went on to win BIS and my BP was also shortlisted for BPIS - congratulations to both owners. MP (7, 4) 1st Hopewell's Davset Lady In Red. Nice seven month old bitch with a lovely dark coat. She possesses correct angulation front and rear, her neck flows smoothly into her gently sloping topline and she has a well set tail. Moved well for her age. It was a close decision between 1 and her litter brother in 2 - just felt the bitch was more balanced on the day. 2nd Naylor and Morrison's Davset Babarossa 3rd Lloyd's Tifosi Heart Of Mine P (9, 3) 1stGlithero and Philo's Coppershell Cazanovah. I wished I could take this boy home. He has the most exquisite head with well defined occiput, raised brows and a refined expression, which gave him the edge over a beautiful bitch in 2. Racy and full of quality he is well constructed all through with a good straight front, deep chest, gently sloping topline, correct angulations and neat feet. A little lighter coloured than I usually prefer, he could not be overlooked on the day. He moved with drive and coordination and I will watch his career with interest. BP. 2nd Naylor and Morrison's Anlory Carmenere. Lovely bitch who was unlucky to meet 1 on such good form. 3rd Douthwaite and Wharfe's Balintyne Lucky Charm For Gracewood J (7, 2) 1st Muir's Romarne Dwayne. Very nice class. My notes read "naughty but nice." This dog is surely a star in the making but is trying his best not to be! He is stunning standing with a lovely dark coat, handsome head, good deep chest, gently sloping topline and correct tail set. Balanced all through he is racy, balanced and full of quality. His movement is a little excitable at the moment but he has plenty of time to settle down and when he puts his mind to it he did enough to show he can move with drive. I look forward to seeing him progress. RBOB, BOS. 2nd Muir's Romarne Delilah. Litter sister to 1 and very similar all through - she is sure to have her share of success. 3rd Waterton's Lynwood Kissed By An Angel At Sandstream N (6, 2) 1st Muir's R Dwayne 2nd Muir's R Delilah 3rd Glithero and Arkell's Coppershell Vincent G (7, 3) 1st Stevenson's Lochlorien Prime Suspect For Andley JW. Lovely, feminine bitch with good body properties all through. She had good depth of chest, nice sloping topline and stands on lovely tight feet. Her sound movement reflects her balanced construction. Would prefer a little more work in her head. Just beat a lovely bitch in 2 on maturity. 2nd Waterton's L Kissed By An Angel At Sandstream 3rd Russell's Melmara Mezza Luna PG (4, 1) 1st Bennett's Heathclare Looking At Magic. Lovely, mature bitch who is well made but understated. She has a soft melting expression, good length of neck, nice topline, a correct straight front and a good tail set. Moves with coordination but could do with more drive - an outside ring may suit her better. Preferred her head over sound bitch in 2. 2nd Russell's Melmara Ruby Tuesday 3rd Carter's Kerrimere Just Rumours O (5, 1) 1st Prangle's Tannymac Could It Be Magic At Heathclare JW ShCM. My star of the day. This bitch is so well made with nothing overstated and each part flowing seamlessly together. She has a beautiful, feminine head with a melting expression and that Irish hint of mischief in her eye. Standing on cat-like feet she has correct construction all through with good angulation front and rear; a deep chest, sloping topline and correct tail set. She moves soundly with verve and enthusiasm. Dripping in coat and in fantastic condition she is a real credit to her owner and I wish them continued success. BOB and BIS - congratulations. 2nd Stevenson's Lochlorien Miss Marple Cops Andley 3rd Mather's Soulglas Ballykissangel
Irish Red and White Setter O (4, 1) Poor entry as the show clashed with a national breed club championship show. 1st Farrin's Temynloah Donal. BOB. Nice two year old dog with broad, domed skull and fairly square muzzle. He had a good topline and angulation but I would prefer more substance. Won on movement over two much older dogs. 2nd Ward's Caspiern Juliette Marney Cum Copperwhite 3rd Ward's Caspiern Theodemir Cum Copperwhite Laura Stuart-Cook (judge)
