Puppy Dog (3)

1. Kennedy’s Glennara Couer De Lion

Balanced head and pleasing expression with the correct amount of work at this stage.  Good reach of neck leading to well placed shoulders and front angulation as you would expect for his age.  Gently sloping topline and well set tail.  Ribs beginning to spring and firm through the loin.  He had lovely developed quarters which were used to advantage on the move.  Correct amount of bone and neat feet, one I will watch with interest.  Best Puppy in show.

2. Quinn’s Cataluna Peter Pan

Pleasing head with gentle expression and correct eye shape, good reach of neck and well placed shoulders.  Gently sloping topline and well ribbed back, quarters were not as good as 1 but still has time to develop.  Moved well with good drive for a youngster.

3.  White’s Killymadder Premier Cru

Junior Dog (4)

1.  Mugford’s Coppers Undercover at Lynwood

Lovely head with raised brow and kind expression. Good reach of neck leading to well placed shoulders, super topline held both standing and on the move.  Tail well set and used to advantage.  Well bodied with correct spring of rib and length of loin.  Well developed quarters and very hard condition.  Covered the ground well on the move really driving from behind.

2.  Chorley-Newtons Kerryfair Snow Fox

Smaller dog but well balanced throughout. Well balanced head with melting expression, clean reach of neck and well placed shoulders and good return of upper arm.  Ribs well back and firm through loin.  Well bent stifles and good bone and feet.  Preferred the croup and tailset of 1.  Moved ok but lacked enthusiasm.

3. Kennedy’s Glennara Couer De Lion

Yearling Dog (7:1)

1 Shaw-Rainey & Rainey’s Trawricka High jinks at Starchelle

Very impressive young dog, lovely clean outline, presenting a balanced picture.  Masculine head with correct amount of work, raised brow and good eye shape.  Super neck and shoulders with correct front angulation.  Good topline held both standing and on the move and with correct tailset.  Quarter well developed and used to advantage on the move.  Presented beautifully and it was nice to see he is full of character.  Pushed hard for top honours just lacked maturity.

2.  Loughlin’s Rohanmor You Were Made For Me

Another promising youngster with a lovely balanced head.  Not quite the reach of neck or quarters of 1.  Well angulated front and well sprung ribs, topline held on the move and lashing tail. Well presented and handled to get the best from him.

3. Mugford’s Coppers Undercover at Lynwood

Novice Dog (3)

1. Chorley-Newton and Newton’s Kerryfair Snow fox

2. Loughlin’s Rohanmor One Step Beyond

Placed 4th in junior, found him a little overdone in head for me.  Clean neck and overall balance was ok.  Good bone and feet, well presented and moved with drive covering the gound.

3. White’s Killymadder Premier Cru

Graduate Dog (2)

1. Mugford’s Coppers Undercover at Lynwood

2.  Park’s Lestananons Diamond Geezer

Pleasing head, good reach of neck, ribs well back, good bend of stifle and well boned.  In good coat moved ok.

Post Graduate Dog (4:1)

1. Bott’s Bardonhill Ginger Whinger JW

Presented a balance picture with clean lines.  Masculine head with level planes and good work, raised brow and melting expression.  Good reach of neck leading cleanly to well placed shoulders and good upper arm, ribs well back and firm through the loin.  Stifles well bent and short from hock to heel.  Side gate was lovely to watch covering the ground with drive and ease, but coming and going he did not move as well as I have seen in the past and this cost him in the challenge.

2. Park’s Lestananons Diamond Geezer

3. Hughes’ Clannrua Donard at Cloonminda

Mid Limit Dog (1)

Park’s Lestananons Diamond Geezer

Limit Dog (7:1)

1. Roffey’s Danaway Lancelot of Autumnwood

This boy has style, balance and substance and was a joy to watch going around the ring.

Masculine in head with a gentle expression from raised brows and kind eyes, good clean reach of neck leading to well placed shoulders and a correct return of upper arm allowing plenty of reach on the move.  Well ribbed back and firm through the loin, holding his topline both standing and moving.  Stifles well bent, however he can be a little over-stretched at times which spoils this. Good bone and neat feet.  I could not fault his movement at all, perfect foot fall coming and going (when in a straight line!) he just covered the ground with ease in profile, driving from developed quarters, beautifully handled and presented which completed the picture, no hesitation in awarding him the CC and BIS, well done.

2. Pullen & Atkin’s Shanoah Jump To It

Another dog with good overall balance and presents a pleasing picture to the eye.  Masculine head and the most lovely expression, good reach of neck and well placed shoulders.  Gently sloping topline and super tailset.  Balanced angles fore and aft, good spring of rib and firm loin.  Very well presented and handled to advantage.  Moved true with drive and purpose but not the forward reach as 1.

3. Sturrock’s Forfarian Goodfella

Open Dog (6:2)

1. Sturrock’s Forfarian Sorcerer

Medium sized dog presenting a lovely balanced picture and very clean in outline.  Masculine head, balanced with kind expression, clean reach of neck and correct front angulation.  Well developed forechest and spring of rib, firm through loin which meant he kept his topline at all times.  Quarters well developed and in hard condition, Moved true and covered the ground, but in the challenge was moved too fast.

2. McLarnon’s Northamber Just Cause For Glenavna JW

Balanced dog who is maturing nicely, Masculine head and kind expression, clean through the neck and shoulders and correct front angulation.  He was fighting his handler on the stack which meant he lost his topline, but on the move he presented a pleasing picture. Moved true with drive and animation, very well presented.

3. Holehan & North’s Erinade Starwars JW

Veteran Dog (2)

1. Foster’s Sh Ch Shanoah Highly Delighted

Presented one of the best outlines here today, clean racy yet with substance.  Masculine head with melting expression, just going grey and looked very distinguished.  Good clean reach of neck and very well placed shoulders, good length of upper arm.  Ribs well sprung and back, firm through the loin and firm in topline and super tailset.  Stifles well bent and firm in quarters.  In lovely coat and condition his owner had certainly put a lot of work in him and it paid off.  Moved true fore and aft and covered the ground well in profile.  Pleased to award him RCC and Best Veteran in show.

2. Park’s Ir Sh Ch Lestannons Micky Blue Eyes JW

Upstanding dog with pleasing head, clean through neck and shoulders, good spring of rib, well bent stifles and in full coat.  Moved ok but a bit of a handful for his handler.

Puppy Bitch (4:2)

1. Murphy’s Clannrua Loughowel

Pleasing head, good reach of neck and well placed shoulders.  Good body properties and well boned.  Good quarters and finish to croup.  Moved ok.

2. White’s Killymadder Veuve Cliquot

Naughty baby who was certainly enjoying giving her handler a hard time.  Nice size and substance, pleasing head, well ribbed back and good bend of stifle. Difficult to assess movement as she was all over the place.

Junior Bitch (7:2)

1. Loughin’s Rohanmor Diamond in the Dark

Lovely young lady with a clean and elegant outline.  Feminine head with soft expression and well balanced.  Good clean reach of neck leading to well placed shoulders and correct return of upper arm.  Well ribbed body and firm through the loin, good depth to forechest.  Powerful well developed quarters and good finish to the croup.  Moved with drive and stile, very promising.

2. Bridgwater’s Bridgella’s Winnie the Witch

Balanced in outline, feminine head and soft expression.  Good reach of neck and well angulated front.  Well ribbed and fir through the loin,  Still needs to develop in her quarters and not the finish to the croup of 1.  Moved well fore and aft.

3. Munro’s Fetteresk Double Take

Yearling Bitch (9:4)

1. Watt’s Shenanagin Suga Babe JW

Very promising young lady who presents a lovely outline.  Feminine head and soft expression with a hint of mischievousness.  Clean neck and well placed shoulders, good length of upper arm.  Well ribbed and firm through the loin and held her topline at al times.  Good finish to the croup and well muscled.  Moved well covering the ground and driving from the rear, carrying too much weight here which cost her in the challenge but I am sure she will have a bright future.

2, Munro’s Fetteresk Double Take

Placed 3rd in Junior and had settled down a great deal in this class, therefore she moved much better.  Feminine head with correct amount of work, clean through neck and shoulders, good body properties and firm quarters.

3. Sturrock’s Forfarian Faith

Novice Bitch (7:3)

1. Bridgwater’s Bridgella Winnie the Witch

2. Munro’s Fetteresk Double Take

3. Sterritt’s Riversett Best Kept Secret

Graduate Bitch (5:1)

1. Hall’s Glennara Lehana JW

This young lady took my eye on entering the ring and she did not disappoint when going over her.  Beautiful in outline and presents a clean, racy and elegant picture.  Feminine head and melting expression with raised brow and kind eye.  Super clean reach of neck and well placed shoulders with good return of upper arm.  Gently sloping topline with excellent finish to the croup.  Well sprung ribs leading well back to a firm loin.  Good bend of stifle and in hard condition.  She moved true fore and aft and covered the ground well.  The more she moved the better she got and had no hesitation in awarding her the CC, will watch her progress and would be proud to own her.

2. Bott’s Bardonhill Days Are Diamond JW

A favourite of mine, very well balanced and presents a feminine picture.  Lovely head with soft expression.  Clean reach of neck and well placed shoulders, good length to upper arm, well boned and neat feet.  Good spring of rib and firm through the loin, gently sloping topline held at all times and well set tail.  Good bend of stifle and short from hock to heel.  Driving action on the move but she was a little over exuberant and her front movement was not as positive as I have seen in the past.

3. Coulter’s Lurgavon Daff-o-Dill

Post Graduate Bitch (6:3)

1.  Hall’s Glennara Lehana

2. Hinslea’s Northamber Causin a Riot JW

Well balanced bitch who presents a clean outline, feminine head with correct amount of work and dark eye.  Good reach of neck and well placed shoulders with a correct return of upper arm.  Good depth to forechest and ribs well sprung and back leading to a firm loin.  Her topline was held at all times and she has a good tailset.  Stifles well bent and powerful quarters.  She moved very true fore and aft and covered the ground in profile movement, when she was called back in she pulled out all the stops and had great ring presence, pleased to award her the RCC.

3. McCleave’s Kirkavagh Teresina with Raesha

Mid Limit Bitch (3:1)

1. Chorley-Newton & Chorley’s Outfoxed by Kerryfair

Lovely honest bitch, elegant and racy, presenting a clean outline.  Soft feminine expression and kind eye, correct amount of work and level planes.  Good reach of neck leading to well placed shoulders and good upper arm.  Ribs well back and sprung, firm through the loin and good bend to her stifles.  Good bone and neat feet.  Movement was true and sound but despite all efforts from her handler, she just did not want to give it her all.

2. Coulters Lurgavon Gee and Tee

Pleasing head with soft expression, a little broad in back skull for me but still feminine.  Low set ears and good reach of neck, ribs well sprung and well boned, moved ok but carrying a little too much weight.

Limit Bitch (7:2)

Very good class which gave me some tough decisions.

1. Boutell’s Ixia Genevieve

She entered the ring with a look at me attitude which took my eye.  Presents an elegant racy picture, yet with substance.  Gentle expression with raised brow and kind eye.  Clean reach of neck and well placed shoulders, correct front angulation allowing for good reach on the move.  Well ribbed and firm through the loin and held her topline on the move, stifles well bent and quarters well muscles.  She really came alive on the move driving from her powerful quarters and covering the ground with ease, I was very disappointed when she went lame in the challenge.

2. Mugford’s Lynwood Follow Your Dreams JW

Very close decision here, another quality lady from the top drawer.  Feminine head with gentle expression and raised brow. Good reach of neck and shoulders well placed, good return of upper arm and well developed forechest.  Well ribbed and firm through loin.  Good topline but preferred finish to the croup of 1.  Well bent stifles and in excellent condition.  Another who covered the ground with ease and had a beautiful head carriage.

3. McCleave’s Kirkavagh Jadida at Raesha

Open Bitch (7:5)

1. Loughlin’s Ir Sh Ch Rohanmor My Blue Heaven

It is easy to see why his lady has done the winning she has, she possesses such great ring presence and attitude that one cannot ignore.  Feminine balanced head with a beautiful eye and expression.  Good clean neck and gently sloping topline, stifles well bent and quarters well developed.  In hard condition and presented very well.  In profile she covered the ground with ease.

2. McKelvey’s Edenaveys Holly Pride

Feminine head, clean neck and gently loping topline, good tailset and quarters.  In very hard condition which showed in her powerful movement.

Veteran Bitch (4)

1. Bridgewater’s Bardonhill Love Heart JW

Looking the best I have seen her, in full coat and full of sparkle.  Feminine head with soft expression, clean neck and shoulders.  Well ribbed back and held her topline at all times.  Well developed quarters and good bend of stifle.  Moved well going true fore and aft and covered the ground.  Just a little too much weight spoilt her overall finish.

2. Boal’s Ir Sh Ch Saberjill Savoir Faire

At almost 10 years she looked very well indeed, feminine head and kind expression, balanced body properties but just lost her topline.  Good quarters and can still move positively and with verve.
