Judge - Katrina Hall

Bitches.

An excellent entry, I so enjoyed sorting them out, but where oh where have the lovely feminine heads gone?, many otherwise lovely bitches had untypical heads with large round eyes giving hard expressions and lacking the fine chiselling I so love, also movement in many was far too close behind , some were actually crossing over as they moved, I was concerned to find a couple of undershot bites and a few cases of Entropion, please don't let your dog suffer from this uncomfortable condition, the prize cards are not worth it. On the plus side, upper arm angulation has improved since I last judged and there were fewer ultra narrow fronts to be seen.

MPB (12-1)

1st. Risdon's REDDINS LOURDS OF REDSLEEVES beautifully balanced baby with a pretty head and soft expression, excellent angulation fore and aft, nice topline and tailset, and good wide hindquarters, moved very well indeed , looked a mite immature in her next class.
2nd. Blackshaw's LANSTARA LOLLIPOP and 3rd. Blackshaw's LANSTARA LUSCIOUS LILY litter sisters and like peas in a pod, both have very pretty heads with nice dark eyes, are well angulated both ends and moved nicely,
3rd just needs a little more confidence.

PB (21-5 )

1st ) Hunter and Brown's BRAIDMOUNT MIDNIGHT LADY just my type of puppy, lovely head with a gentle expression, well balanced all through, super front assembly, good topline, wide hindquarters, good bend of stifle, short rear pasterns enabling her to move soundly around the ring. BPIS.
2nd Walter's DENIEL WON LUV different type to 1st, shorter coupled and has a smoother darker coat, pleasing head, good conformation, stands on good legs and neat feet, moved nicely.
3rd, Naylor and Morrison's ANLORY CARMENERE very mature puppy with a lovely dark gleaming coat, pleasing head, good in shoulders and front angulation ,correct sloping topline, strong wide hindquarters, moved soundly and with verve, just a little long in body for me.

V ( 11-2 )

1st,Kavanagh's SH CH WITHERSDALE IVY lovely old fashioned type of bitch, pretty head with expressive eyes, good front and forechest, well angulated behind, would just like a tad more neck to give a little more elegance, moved well with decent width between her hocks.
2nd Martin's IXIA TABITHA another out of the same mould as 1st, very sweet bitch with a gorgeous head and expression, soundly built, nothing much to fault, just a bit close behind when she moves.
3rd Richardson's KIRKAVAGH FRIVOLA good sound bitch, lots to like, very pretty head with correct eye shape and colour, good in shoulder and upper arm angulation, strong wide hindquarters, moved well.

J (18-3 )

1st King's KIRKAVAGH IVANJICA really fell for this ultra feminine bitch, the prettiest of heads, sweet expression, excels in forehand construction, flowing topline leading to correct tailset and carriage, good sweep of stifle and short rear pasterns, perfect front movement, but to be ultra critical I would like a tad more drive behind, however, her other qualities far outweigh this. RCC and JW today,
2nd Barker-Bell's BALINTYNE LUCK BE A LADY another lovely bitch, different in type to 1, good forehand assembly, deep in chest, correct topline leading to well built hindquarters with nice tailset and carriage, moved soundly.
3rd, Mc Donald's SALWARP SOCIALITE OF CHUGERRA bigger dark coated elegant bitch, well angulated fore and aft, stands and moves on good well boned legs and feet, moved well, just not the head for me.

Y (23-3 )

1st Ciechonska's COPPERS CHAMPAGNE BUBBLE AT AOIBHEANNE JW and 2nd Butler-Holley's SHANDWICK INSPIRATION had a struggle with these two, I loved them both, they are quite different in type despite having the same sire, both have exquisite heads, perfect front assemblies and correct toplines and tailsets, they moved well with decent width between their hocks and have lovely neat feet, just preferred the more quizzical expression of 1st who was close up for RCC,
3rd Watt's SHENANAGIN SUGA BABE giving a lot away in age here, well balanced youngster with excellent forehand construction, typical head, good topline tailset and carriage, stands well on nice tight feet, moved well, just preferred the shorter rear pasterns of those above.

G (17-3 )

1st Henderson's SAMETSUZ A TASTE OF HONEY an elegant well constructed girl , sweet head with lovely expression , excellent shoulders and forechest, flowing topline to correct tailset, in lovely coat and condition, moved well.
2nd Andrew's BAMBERELLA LOVE STORY another very good bitch with a classic head and outline, not quite so good in upper arm angulation as 1st and moves a little close behind but a beautiful bitch from any angle.
3rd Bott's BARDONHILL DAYS ARE DIAMOND JW very pretty head and eye, nice length to body, well ribbed up, good wide hindquarters, lovely tight feet, looked a little heavy over the shoulders today, best mover in this class.

PG ( 25-10 )

Best class of the day, any of the first 7 could change places on another occasion under me, but decisions had to be made and today it was.

1st Willis' JACWILINS MISS DASHWOOD haven't seen her for a while, beautiful head and expression, good straight front, excellent forechest, deep through the ribs, strong wide hindquarters enabling her to power round the ring.
2nd BAMBERELLA LOVE STORY
3rd Roberts' POLMENNOR FOR PLEASURE loved the head on this one, good reach of neck from excellent shoulder and front assembly, nice topline, wide hindquarters, short rear pasterns, moved very well with reach and drive.

MID L ( 13-4 )

1st Mugford's LYNWOOD FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS another with a very pretty head, although her eyes could be a tad darker, it doesn't spoil her sweet expression, not a big one but well balanced all through, correct forechest and return of upper arm, gently sloping topline, correct tailset and carriage, neat feet, scored in her sound flowing movement.
2nd Hiron's LOSKERAN LARCH neat compact dark coated bitch, lovely sweeping topline and hindquarters, good in shoulders and front, nice width of thigh, attractive well balanced head with chiselling, moved soundly.
3rd Evans' BRABROOK MARBELA classic outline on this one, good layback of shoulder giving a smooth flowing topline, strong hindquarters , good legs and feet, just preferred heads of those above.

L ( 18-5)

1st Heron's CASKEYS HAPPY HOUR JW have liked this one since I first saw her as a raw puppy, today she presented the mature finished picture, the sweetest of heads with the desired chiselling around her dark eyes, absolutely perfect balance in body, correct angulation fore and aft, gently sloping topline, wide hindquarters, correct tailset and carriage, nice and short from hock to heel, all topped off with a rich shiny coat, moved very well to take not only the CC her third, but BIS as well !!,
2nd Henderson's SAMETSUZ SECRET AFFAIR JW different in type to 1st, a very elegant girl, her topline flows from the top of her pretty head to the tip of her well carried tail, she has a good layback of shoulder but to be critical I would like just a little more forechest and upper arm angulation, a striking bitch from any angle, moved well.
3rd IXIA TABITHA.

O ( 4 )

1st Hunter and Brown's SH CH BRAIDMOUNT GEISHA GIRL, well known bitch, a pleasure to go over her ,very pretty head, correct dark eye and sweet expression, well balanced all through, correct slightly sloping topline, good angulation fore and aft, moved soundly with correct width between her hocks, another close up for RCC.
2nd Naylor and Morrison's SH CH ANLORY VALPOLICELLA JW quality bitch, deep chest, rugged hindquarters which enabled her to power round the ring, classic head good neck into well laid shoulders, nice bend of stifle, short rear pasterns, neat feet.
3rd Gurney's DANAWAY ISADORA a little short coupled for me and would prefer a better topline, has a very sweet head with lovely chiselling, gentle expression, well angulated both ends and moved soundly.

SPEC. BEG. ( 5-3 )

1st Corrigan's GWENDARIFF POP PRINCESS pretty little bitch, well made all through, nothing to fault except there's not enough of her, well shown and handled , moved well.
2nd Garrigan's SIOCHANNA IRISH CEILLIDH pretty headed bitch, too short coupled for me and has an exaggerated topline, well turned out and has lovely neat feet, she scores in movement which is sound and animated.
